Empresas Randon were awarded the Best of ESG 2022 Award (Prêmio Melhores do ESG 2022), a recognition on social, sustainability and corporate governance practices which is promoted by Exame Magazine. The company was the winner in the Capital Goods and Electronics category along with two other Brazilian companies. The CEO of Empresas Randon, Sérgio L. Carvalho received the award on Thursday, the 23rd, in a ceremony held in São Paulo (SP).
The company's CEO highlights that Exame Magazine's recognition reinforces the relevance of the ESG agenda as the only way to make the companies' purposes and principles viable, in a sustainable way. “We believe that businesses need to develop correctly for the environment, reinforcing social development, respecting diversities and adopting ethical and transparent governance practices.”
Created in 2000 under the name of Guia EXAME de Boa Cidadania Corporativa (“EXAME Guide to Good Corporate Citizenship”), the Best of ESG award brings together organizations that were a reference and that had a relevant contribution to sustainable development and to a more diverse market. Ibmec, one of the main business schools in the country, is a partner in the initiative by reviewing the methodology used in the preparation of the 2022 guide.
