Developer of complete solutions for the challenges of global mobility, at the 24th Fenatran, Randoncorp presents AT4T | Autonomous Technology For Transportation, a concept product of autonomous technology for movement in controlled environments, developed exclusively by the company. The experimental project was announced to investors in November 2023 and, for the first time, is presented to the public, at the Randon – Vertical Montadora [Vertical OEM] stand, at the trade fair. The company detailed aspects of the new technology to journalists at a press conference held on Monday, November 4, attended by Daniel Randon, president of Randoncorp, Sérgio L. Carvalho, CEO of the company, and members of the Executive Committee.

AT4T | Autonomous Technology for Transportation is based on four fundamental pillars: High Performance Hardware, Perception System, Decision Making System and Control System. Integrated with a patented algorithm, these systems enable autonomous and precise operation of vehicles in controlled environments. Strategically positioned smart sensors in the vehicle and advanced navigation technologies ensure constant monitoring of the surroundings, automatic speed adjustment and execution of precise movements. The experience gained over Randoncorp's 75 years in commercial vehicles has resulted in optimized functionalities that make the algorithm capable of performing highly complex maneuvers, including reversing articulated vehicles and parking in any type of environment, without the need for human intervention.

AT4T provides gains in logistics optimization and safety for operations in controlled environments. The test platform, exhibited at Fenatran, has a 100% electric traction system and was designed to operate in restricted access locations, such as port terminals, airports, logistics yards and cargo warehouses. In addition, its application extends to sectors such as mining and agriculture, providing operational efficiency and precision in autonomous maneuvers, essential elements to meet the demands of complex and challenging environments.

The company carries innovation and sustainability in its DNA – since its foundation, it has directed efforts to the development of solutions aligned with the challenges of the mobility market. AT4T is the result of this positioning. “Historically, we have worked on developing creative, competitive technologies for the value chain that reduce pollutant gas emissions. The project is yet another step towards consolidating Randoncorp’s advancement as a global developer of disruptive technologies for mobility. The technology offered should not compete with other solutions already present in the commercial transportation of cargo and products,” says the company’s CEO, Sérgio L. Carvalho.

AT4T is the result of five years of research developed in conjunction with the Hercílio Randon Institute (IHR), the first Brazilian science and technology institution focused on the automotive sector. The IHR, supported by Randoncorp, maintains an innovation center made up of around 290 researchers, which works to find disruptive solutions for the automotive sector. The technology presented at Fenatran also relies on the testing and simulation structure of the Centro Tecnológico Randon (CTR) – the most complete center in Latin America for testing and validating automotive and industrial vehicles and components.
